Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Cultran, including the Cultran app, website, subscriptions, translation features, and related services.

These terms are effective as of 2026-05-21.

By creating an account, starting a free preview, purchasing a subscription, or using Cultran, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Using Cultran

Cultran provides AI-assisted translation across voice, text, and camera inputs. Features may include transcripts, translations, cultural context, pronunciation guidance, warnings, and generated audio.

You are responsible for your account, the content you submit, and how you use Cultran output.

Cultran is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Cultran if you are not allowed to use the service or cannot agree to these Terms.

AI Output

Cultran uses artificial intelligence. AI translations, transcripts, pronunciation guidance, cultural notes, responses, and generated audio may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, offensive, unsafe, inappropriate, or unsuitable for your intended use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cultran is not responsible for AI-generated responses or other AI output in any way.

Do not rely on Cultran for medical, legal, financial, emergency, safety-critical, or other high-risk decisions. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before using it.

Subscriptions and Billing

Cultran may offer free previews, paid subscriptions, or other paid features. Subscription availability, pricing, billing period, trial availability, taxes, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling may vary by platform and country.

If you purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, the applicable store handles billing, payment processing, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests under its own terms and policies.

Deleting the Cultran app or deleting your Cultran account may not cancel an active app store subscription. Store subscriptions must be managed through your Apple or Google account settings.

Standard Terms of Use for iOS Users

If you access Cultran on iOS, Apple’s standard terms may apply to your use of the app. You can review them at Apple’s Standard Terms of Use.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Cultran to break the law, violate another person’s rights, harm others, abuse the service, bypass subscriptions or security controls, interfere with Cultran systems, or misuse AI output.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access for misuse, fraud, nonpayment, security risk, or violations of these Terms.

User Content

You keep ownership of content you submit to Cultran. You allow Cultran and its service providers to host, process, transmit, store, transform, and display your content as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit content to Cultran and to allow it to be processed for the service.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what information Cultran collects, how it is used, how service providers process it, how long it is retained, and how privacy requests work.

Service Changes and Availability

Cultran may change, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features, providers, models, voices, languages, prices, plans, or availability as the service evolves.

Cultran is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free translations, specific uptime, compatibility with every device, or continued availability of any feature.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cultran is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, reliance on AI output, store billing issues, or issues caused by third-party services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cultran’s total liability for claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to Cultran, if any, for the service giving rise to the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice or request acceptance where appropriate.

Continuing to use Cultran after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
