This Privacy Policy explains how Cultran collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Cultran app, website, and related services.

This policy is effective as of 2026-05-21.

Information We Collect

Cultran may collect information you provide directly, information generated while you use the service, and information processed by third-party service providers on our behalf.

This may include:

  • Account information, such as your email address, login information, account settings, and support requests.
  • Translation content, such as voice recordings, typed text, camera images, transcripts, translations, cultural context, pronunciation guidance, and generated audio.
  • Subscription information, such as your subscription status, product access, purchase identifiers, renewal state, cancellation state, and store-related billing events.
  • App, device, usage, diagnostics, and security information, such as device type, operating system, app version, request information, crash reports, error logs, abuse-prevention signals, and service performance data.
  • Website and communication information, such as information you submit through our website, support channels, or other contact methods.

We intentionally do not collect payment card numbers or payment credentials. Store payments are handled by RevenueCat and the applicable app store or payment provider.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Cultran.

This includes using information to:

  • Create and manage accounts.
  • Process voice, text, and image translation requests.
  • Generate AI-assisted transcripts, translations, explanations, and audio.
  • Provide subscriptions, paid features, free previews, and entitlement checks.
  • Respond to support, privacy, legal, safety, and billing-related requests.
  • Monitor service reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
  • Understand feature performance and improve the user experience.
  • Comply with legal, platform, tax, accounting, security, and operational obligations.

AI Processing

Cultran uses AI service providers to process translation requests and generate app responses. Translation content is sent to these providers to perform the requested feature.

Cultran does not use your data to train AI models.

Service Providers

Cultran uses third-party service providers to operate the service. These providers process information for purposes such as:

  • App store distribution, subscriptions, purchase validation, and billing support.
  • Authentication, account management, and security.
  • Cloud hosting, storage, databases, networking, and content delivery.
  • AI transcription, translation, image processing, text generation, and audio generation.
  • Diagnostics, crash reporting, operational monitoring, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention.
  • Customer support, communication, legal, compliance, tax, and accounting operations.

These providers are authorized to process information as needed to provide services to Cultran, comply with law, protect users, or operate their own services under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Cultran, operate the service, maintain security, meet platform requirements, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

If you delete your Cultran account or ask us to delete account-linked information, we will delete or de-identify account-linked information where required and reasonably possible. Some information may be retained for limited purposes, such as security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, accounting, dispute handling, legal compliance, backup recovery, or records that are no longer linked to an identifiable account.

Deleting the Cultran app or deleting your Cultran account may not cancel an active app store subscription. Store subscriptions must be managed through the applicable Apple or Google account settings.

Privacy Choices and Requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-linked personal information where required. You may also request deletion of your Cultran account through available in-app controls or by contacting us.

We may ask for information needed to verify your identity, locate your account, and complete your request. We may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, platform rules, security needs, fraud-prevention needs, or legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission, processing, or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Cultran is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Cultran, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice or request acceptance where appropriate.
